Dr. Jeffrey Harrell is an interventional cardiologist who practices in Simi Valley and performs procedures at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center and Adventist Health Simi Valley Hospital. He specializes in cardiovascular medicine and interventional cardiology, the catheter-based treatment of heart disease. He performs nonsurgical procedures, such as percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), to treat people with coronary artery blockages and improve blood flow to the heart. Dr. Harrell’s clinical interests include the prevention and management of heart disease, heart failure and the use of catheter-based therapy for coronary artery and structural heart disease. He is a proponent of using intracoronary hemodynamics to guide therapy and to help patients achieve "complete" revascularization in multi-vessel coronary artery disease. Dr. Harrell received his Bachelor of Arts degree in English from University of Virginia and received his master’s degree and medical degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School. He then completed internal medicine residency at Drexel University College of Medicine, after which he relocated to Southern California for cardiovascular disease fellowship at Harbor – UCLA Medical Center, followed by his interventional cardiology fellowship at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center. Dr. Harrell is board certified in cardiovascular disease, cardiovascular computed tomography and internal medicine.
