Known as Newsroom Cafe until 2008, Interim Cafe specializes in organic and vegan foods for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Breakfast, served before noon, features various dishes made with organic brown eggs, like the Broken Organic Turkey Bacon Frittata, Huevos Cancun and the Breakfast Burro, along with hemp-tofu scramblers, served with gluten-free toast. Sandwiches and salads have regular and vegan selections. The "regular" choices include organic chicken, turkey and tuna, while the vegan choices use hemp tofu, raw and vegan cheese. All burgers are veggie patties, and quesadillas use whole wheat tortillas and low-fat part-skim cheese. Various bottled drinks are available, along with vegan smoothies and Interim's own Chocolate Salvation, an organic chocolate, sugar-free vegan soft serve. At the counter, a glass case displays various vegan and organic baked goods like cobbler, muffins, scones, cookies and protein bars.
