HistoryCornerstone International Christian Church in La Puente, California was founded in December of 1988. Our founding Pastor is Rev. Paul T. Lacanilao, a compassionate leader and people gatherer. In 1988, Cornerstone first laid it's roots with but a few members with a vision to be a church who focused on the equipping and sending out of missionaries and church planters. Shortly after leaving his previous career at ABC in the Philippines, Pastor Paul decided to follow the Lord's leading to America. It was here in America where Pastor Paul began serving a church called First Filipino Baptist Church in Los Angeles. After several years of praying for a more permanent career, Pastor Paul was approached by several deacons of the church with an opportunity to plant a church in the city of La Puente. Pastor Paul had scoped the property at 1130 California Avenue in La Puente and as a result, he obediently followed the Lord serving as Cornerstone's Senior Pastor in December of 1988.SpecialtiesCornerstone International Christian Church in La Puente, California was founded in December of 1988. Now, 28 years later, Cornerstone La Puente has supported and sent out over 50 missionaries serving all over the globe, with 9 daughter churches in California and 3 overseas in the Philippines. It is our desire to continue being faithful to God's calling for us to bring the message of the gospel to the ends of the Earth.
