The Housing Authority of the County of Butte, founded in 1946, is a nonprofit public agency providing subsidized housing to families, seniors and disabled individuals whose income is between 50 to 80 percent of median area income. It offers various housing programs, such as public housing, farm labor housing, house choice vouchers and open market rentals. The funding for the various programs is provided by the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development and the United State Department of Agriculture and Rural Development. The organization is headquartered in Chino, Calif.
