Hoopa Tribal Early Headstart is a national program that provides child development services to low-income families, prenatal and children up to the age of 5. It offers a range of individualized services in the areas of education and early childhood development; medical, dental and mental health; nutrition; and parent involvement. The program assists in the development of cognitive, motor, language, social and self-help skills. Hoopa Tribal Early Headstart program conducts educational field trips, as well as participates in fundraising events. In partnership with the Humboldt County Office of Education, it assists in the development of speech and language skills. It additionally organizes parent-teacher conferences. Hoopa Tribal Early Headstart is located in Hoopa, Calif.
