Founded in 1868, Holy Names University is approved by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. It offers undergraduate courses in biological science, business, computers and communications, English, history, international relations, music, psychobiology, psychology and sociology. It offers graduate programs in business administration, counseling psychology, culture and spirituality, education, music, nursing and pastoral ministries. Its sports program includes cross country, volleyball, soccer, basketball and golf. The university has more than 20 clubs and academic honor societies, and provides academic tutoring, internships and community service opportunities and educational leadership classes.
