Holmes International Middle School is a magnet school providing instruction for students in 6th through 8th grade. The school was named after Oliver Wendell Holmes Jr., a Civil War veteran and a chief justice of the Massachusetts Supreme Court. The curriculum focuses on a variety of subjects, including language, literature, history, music, philosophy, art and social customs.
