The Head Start pre-school is part of the Community Action Partnership, which is a national program to help prevent poverty in America. The Head Start program specifically provides child development for children ages 2 through 5 who come from low-income families.
Head Start's goal is to prepare children for school by teaching them the social and physical skills they will need through a well planned pre-school program. The Rohnert Park Head Start is part of the El Camino campus. The classroom and play area combines crafts and other activities, as well as structured play.
