History
Irashaimase! Kyushu Ramen opened in Van Nuys in 1985 with the goal of serving wholesome Japanese dishes in the San Fernando Valley. In 2001, the present owner acquired the restaurant and continues in this tradition. His training and experience comes from Hanabishi, the restaurant his father opened in 1945. During this time he offered the residents of Tokyo a wide variety of Japanese dishes. In honor of his father, the present owner has added a variety of his childhood favorites to the menu. In addition to Kyushu Ramen's array of Japanese soul-food favorites, he has added the now popular Izakaya section, a Japanese tapas bar, where from customers can enjoy their choice of alcoholic beverages imported from Japan, sushi and small dishes to satisfy every palate.
