"If It's Smokin, We're Open!" As seen on the Food Network's "Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives," Gorilla BBQ is located inside a bright orange train car on Coast Highway. With a purposefully limited menu, this eatery focuses on cooking and smoking delectable BBQ. Meat choices include pulled pork, chicken, ribs, hot links and beef brisket. All meats are wood smoked and come with a side of Gorilla's own BBQ sauce. Combo plates are generously sized and include a selection of sides: potato salad, beans over rice, corn on the cob, coleslaw, macaroni and cheese and vegetables. Canned sodas and bottled water are also available. Because of its size, there is no indoor seating; however, there are picnic tables located on the property. Owner Rick "Gorilla" Bacchi is regularly behind the counter, and he is more than willing to help customers make their BBQ selection. Gorilla BBQ is unable to accept pre-orders or phone orders on weekends in order to accommodate in-line customers.
