Gardena Valley Japanese Cultural Institute (GVJCI) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to engaging, sharing, and embracing the Nikkei experience and culture. With a wide range of programs and classes for all ages, GVJCI aims to provide essential services and promote community involvement in the South Bay area.
From senior programs like the Tomo No Kai friendship club and the Senior Bento Program, to classes on smartphone and tablet usage, GVJCI offers diverse opportunities for learning, socializing, and cultural enrichment. Through donations and support from the community, GVJCI has been making a positive impact for over 70 years, offering 40 annual programs and classes and relying on the dedication of 500 volunteers.
