The form of worship practiced at this Friends Meeting is "unprogrammed" – that is, there are no pastoral intermediaries between meeting members, also known as Quakers, and God.
Worship begins when all members have gathered in the meeting room. All become silent. No other external activity occurs. Some adherents say that, during the silence, they pray, meditate or simply relax.
The Davis Friends Meeting does not actively seek out new members or proselytize. Many people are attracted to the Davis Friends Meeting because of its members' pacifist stance or positions it takes on social justice issues.
