Fresno County Hispanic Commission on Alcohol and Drug Abuse Services, also known as Hispanic Commission, is a nonprofit organization located in Fresno, Calif. The organization was founded in 1977 to provide information and referral services to the Spanish-speaking population in Fresno County, Calif. It offers a variety of alcohol and drug abuse counseling services to English- and Spanish-speaking individuals and their families. Hispanic Commission also provides alcohol addiction prevention services to bilingual and bicultural individuals. The organization s driving abuse treatment and education program offers services for people arrested and convicted for driving under the influence of alcohol and other drugs. Its programs are licensed and certified by the State of California Department of Alcohol and Drug Programs in Sacramento. Fresno County Hispanic Commission on Alcohol and Drug Abuse Services was formerly known as Fresno County Commission on Alcoholism for the Spanish Speaking.
