Named one of America's Best High Schools by Newsweek magazine in 2010, Franklin High School is known for its strong academic program and large numbers of Advanced Placement classes. Parents stay involved in their children's education by serving on a range of advisory committees focusing on everything from sports to English language learners. The school's career academies prepare students for jobs in agriculture, technology, engineering and media. A staff of over a dozen counselors and resource specialists serves students with special needs.
Franklin shares its campus with Toby Johnson Middle School and a public library. The high school's facilities include a performing arts building, audio-visual production lab, two gyms and two computer labs.
