Dr. Andrew R. Hsu is a board-certified and fellowship-trained orthopaedic foot and ankle surgeon who provides comprehensive nonsurgical and surgical approaches for the treatment of foot and ankle problems. He offers individualized treatment designed to return patients to their highest level of functional capability in the shortest time possible.Hsu spent two years performing clinical research in applied physiology at the Palo Alto Veterans Affairs Hospital before earning his medical degree from the Stanford University School of Medicine in Palo Alto, Calif. He then completed an internship in general surgery and a residency in orthopaedic surgery at the Rush University Medical Center in Chicago. He then completed a fellowship in orthopaedic foot and ankle surgery at the OrthoCarolina Foot & Ankle Institute in Charlotte, N.C., where he specialized in the management of complex foot and ankle injuries.During his medical career, Hsu has cared for a diverse array of patients, including professional athletes from the NFL, NBA and MLB. He is also a member of numerous professional societies, including the American Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society. He was selected by the American Orthopaedic Association as an Emerging Leader, and has received numerous awards for orthopaedic research, leadership and teaching.
