The Foundation for Early Childhood Education operates locations all over Los Angeles County, nearly 30 in all.
Its main offering is a free preschool program with part- or full-day classes. Home-based tutoring is also available for elementary school students.
The foundation's funding is through grants from the federal government's Head Start program and the City of Los Angeles.
This non-profit organization is "dedicated to the development of self-esteem, self-sufficiency and empowerment, we provide an environment which fosters respect and understanding of all individuals and their cultural backgrounds," according to the foundation's mission statement.
