FinanceStaff was founded in 1999 to bring a career-oriented focus to recruiting services in finance and accounting. With her background in career and educational counseling, founder Linda Carlton had a vision for a recruiting model that would not only provide access to "next move" job opportunities, but also give both candidates and clients information and assistance to make better decisions about their career and hiring choices. In 2001, FinanceStaff moved into the landmark Rotunda Building in downtown Oakland, a convenient location that places the company in the center of the Bay Area business community. Easily accessible via freeway or BART, FinanceStaff works with companies and candidates throughout the Bay Area. Linda Carlton, President and CEO, is a Haas Berkeley MBA and a CPA, formerly with Deloitte. She has extensive experience in staffing, as Director of Staffing and Marketing at Accounting Solutions ( now TMP/Hudson Global Resources ) and as Director of RHI Management Resources in San Francisco. Prior to her staffing career, Linda was Director of a nonprofit educational program, Upward Bound, for 8 years. Linda currently serves on the Board of the San Francisco Chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth. Patricia Dedekian, Director of Client Services, is a Berkeley graduate with over 20 years in private industry, including consumer product, real estate sales and marketing, and executive search. She has worked as an executive recruiter and recruiting manager for 10 years, specializing in finance and accounting. Patricia's clients are located throughout the Bay Area, and include both publicly traded and privately held companies in a broad range of industries. Patricia currently serves on the Board of Directors of Bread & Roses, a non-profit organization that brings live music to people confined in various types of institutions. She was President of Friends of the Oakland Fox Theater for 10 years, and served on the Board of Oakland Heritage Alliance. Tom DeLuca, Director of Client Services, Tom has 9+ years of experience in recruiting for positions in accounting and finance. Prior to joining FinanceStaff, Tom was founder and Managing Partner of Resolute Staffing, a boutique financial placement firm and a Recruiting Manager at Robert Half International. Tom also has extensive experience in the field of marketing, including experience at Pacific Bell Wireless and Young & Rubicam. He is a graduate of State University of New York at Albany. Jenifer Riley, Director of Client Services for FinanceStaff, specializing in executive search and interim staffing for companies in Northern California. She is a Big 4 CPA with extensive experience in accounting, finance and IT project management. Prior to joining FinanceStaff, Jenifer was a Senior Manager in Advisor and Client Technology for Charles Schwab. Previous positions included VP and Manager of Automation Projects at Bank of America, Group Controller at Wells Fargo Bank, and Audit Senior at Ernst & Young. Jenifer is a member of the Montclair Lions' Club, and the California CPA Society. FinanceStaff is located in the historic Rotunda Building in downtown Oakland, CA. Within the Rotunda, we are housed in the Communications Technology Cluster, Oakland's high-tech incubator.
