HistoryWe are a newly established, private elementary school in Aliso Viejo, CASpecialtiesRadiant Minds Schools immerse students in an environment that nurtures them both academically and spiritually. The academic and social programs explore character qualities including unity, justice, kindness, truthfulness, integrity, love, trustworthiness, personal investigation of the truth, service, excellence, diversity and creativity. These character qualities are considered praiseworthy in all religions and in many personal belief systems. We view them as aspects of our humanity. Radiant Minds Schools focus on the development of spiritual values and self-awareness in applying spiritual virtues to daily life and problem-solving. Students will practice application of the virtues academically and personally. Moral development, character training and spiritual examination of concepts is not taught in a separate unit. Instead, development of spiritual virtues is integrated into challenging academics. On a personal level, students practice mindfulness, meditation and prayer from many different religious traditions that are appropriate for each age group. Academically, students will examine core Radiant Minds virtues (truthfulness, justice, gratitude, purposefulness and joy) in relationship to living a life of excellence and purpose. While learning academic subjects, students will be asked to consider spiritual values in the context of their academic subjects in order to discover the best possible way to use their knowledge for the betterment of mankind.
