History
Established in 2005 by a small group of student from University of California, San Diego (UCSD), Chinese Union started out humble with only 70 members. In less than six years, we had grown into one of the largest Asian organizations in Southern California. In 2015, Chinese Union is officially approved by the US government to become a nonprofit organization (NPO) under category 501(c)(3).
Specialties
Chinese Union (CU) is currently a non-profit Public Benefit Corporation located in San Diego, California, with 30 E-board members, 180+ working officers, and over 3000 registered members. Our goal is to promote the general welfare of international Chinese students in Southern California. For instance, last year before the start of Fall quarter, we hold info sessions for UCSD new students in China and provided free airport pickup services for more than 520 new students. Each quarter, we organize a variety of events for students in San Diego county to participate. In the meanwhile, we are dedicated in philanthropy and benefiting the public.
