Edward Ayub Orthopaedic & Sports Physical Therapy was founded by husband and wife, Ed and Mary Ayub, in 1982. Ed is the Physical Therapist and Mary organized the business end of the operation. The objective was to provide exceptional Orthopaedic physical therapy while paying attention to details in regards to accounts, scheduling, and patient satisfaction. Today, just like 20 years ago, Ed and Mary continue to work and develop what they consider to be the finest physical therapy facilities in San Diego. Offices are located in Point Loma and Chula Vista and are staffed by licensed physical therapist and physical therapy assistants. The professional staff specializes in a hands-on manual style of physical therapy, which allows a better opportunity for each therapist to more closely understand and appreciate each patient's unique needs.Treatment sessions are generously scheduled at 45 minutes to allow for a thorough and complete opportunity to deliver the most precise treatment approach in order to obtain the best results.The office staff will assist you from the beginning to the end with insurance verification, billing, and scheduling related issues to assure that your experience is as smooth and professional as possible.In addition to providing "in house" physical therapy services, Edward Ayub Orthopaedic & Sports Physical Therapy is well known in the San Diego community for its involvement with team sports. The Chula Vista facility works with the Sweetwater Union High School District to provide sports medicine services to its nine high schools. In conjunction with local physicians, specialists within the facility organize pre-sports participation screenings, which number around 700 per year. In addition, sports medicine coverage is assigned to each high school and provides on site service for freshmen, junior varsity, and varsity high school football games. A Saturday Injury Clinic is available for injury evaluation and to provide a point of entry into the medical system.The Bonita office also functions as a "central training room" and provides daily injury screening for all athletes of the Sweetwater Union High School District.The Point Loma facility provides sports medicine services to the Old Mission Beach Athletic Club's Rugby teams as well as to the United States of America Rugby team, the "Eagles". For the past fifteen years, Ed Ayub has traveled around the world with the USA team as team "physician" and has participated in two world cup tours.
