Edison Academy was founded in 1990 by Linda Wulle, a special education teacher. The small, private school is designed to help students who have learning differences succeed and excel in the classroom. After five years of growth and by popular demand, the school opened a regular mainstream private school called Rancho Encinitas Academy. Both schools operate on the same grounds. Students from the two schools interact with one another for sports, recess, field trips and more. Offering a homey experience, Edison Academy runs classes for students in grades three through eight and employs five highly qualified teachers.
