History
This Program has operated federally funded job training programs when it was asked by the U.S. Department of Labor to participate in the War on Poverty. Since then, AJCC has served over 85,000 disadvantaged young people. AJCC has proved a viable provider of public services by exceeding the local Workforce Investment Board (formerly Private Industry Councils) performance standards and now known as the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA). This is accomplished by partnerships with many business and community organizations.
