The DMV requires you to have six hours of behind-the-wheel training with a licensed instructor before you take the driving test. Each lesson is two hours in length and will teach you the basic skills of defensive driving and safety. Appointments are available seven days a week at a time convenient for you. We offer the only online lesson plan reviewed and approved by the CA DMV and the only online course approved by Driving School Association of California! This fully interactive course is designed to provide a full 30 hours of content including photographs, graphics and 45 short videos. The course is based on the DMV 10 unit lesson plan, but has been broken down into 29 shorter lesson units in order to make it more appealing to students. The 29 course units include: 1 Introductory Unit, 26 Lesson Units, 1 Final Exam Unit and 1 Reference Unit which includes the California driver handbook and a permit practice test engine. Each lesson unit includes a lesson review test comprised of 5 or 10 randomized questions that link back to the lesson in the event that the student doesn't pass and requires additional review. The final exam includes about 50 randomized questions covering all the material pertaining to the written permit test.
