Adjacent to the busy commercial district of Wilshire Boulevard and a short trek from the 405, Douglas Park is a refuge in the unlikeliest of locations. Even more unusual are its amenities, many of which are idiosyncratic for a park in Los Angeles: there are ponds, one of which even accommodates fly fishing as well as a lawn-bowling field, which is regularly populated by clubs of community enthusiasts.
Other features include a clubhouse (which can house up to 40 people), two light-equipped tennis courts and an extensive children's playground.
