Operational since 1920, Disabled American Veterans is a charitable trust that serves disabled veterans and military personnel. Located in Fairbanks, Alaska, the organization offers benefits assistance to veterans and their families, homeless veterans, soldiers, sailors, mariners, airmen, guardsmen and officers. It has provided disaster relief to veterans suffering from terrorist attacks, Gulf Coast hurricanes, Iowa floods, tornados and fires. Additionally, the organization offers mobile service offices to avoid long trips and information seminars for veterans. Disabled American Veterans conducts the Jesse Brown Memorial Youth Scholarship Program for students. It is the Better Business Bureau (BBB) accredited organization and partners with NFL, General Electric, Ford, Golden Corral Buffet & Grill, Harley Davidson and Major League Baseball, among others.
