Established in 1905, Houston Zoo offers conservation services for endangered animal species. It has various animals, such as a great horned owl, capuchin monkeys, African wild dogs, antelopes, alligators, rabbits, raccoons, Mexican eagles, black bears and Asian elephants. The zoo also manages bird gardens that feature more than 250 species of birds, including macaws, cuckoos, vultures, curassow, rhinoceros hornbills and pigeons. Houston Zoo has an aquarium that is home to over 200 species of freshwater and saltwater fishes and marine invertebrates, including jellyfish, cuttlefish and corals. In addition, it conducts several field trips and educational classes for individuals and families. Houston Zoo offers space and catering services for various events, such as birthday parties, company picnics and wedding receptions. The zoo is located in Houston.
