The Colton-Redlands-Yucaipa Regional Occupational Program is a public agency of the Californian Department of Education, which provides vocational training to high school students. Located in Redlands, Calif., it was established in 1971 as part of an agreement among the Colton Joint Unified, Redlands Unified and Yucaipa-Calimesa Joint Unified School Districts. It is also a part of the statewide network of more than 70 regional occupational centers and programs. Colton-Redlands has a staff of professional and trained instructors who provide vocational skills training that includes hands-on technical and communication skills training to individuals of ages 16 years and above. It additionally emphasizes on critical thinking, problem solving and decision making skills. The Colton-Redlands-Yucaipa Regional Occupational Program includes classes that are held at Bloomington High School, East Valley High School, Slover Mountain High School and Yucaipa High School. It also provides on-the-job-training and emphasizes on improvement of math and reading skills. It is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.
