HistoryOur Licensee/Owner, Lilia Opalec, has over 20 years of experience in the nursing home field. It is with this insight that she was driven to open a home-like environment for senior citizens. She wanted to give her residents the same level of care nursing home facilities provided, but with a more personal approach. And with the encouragement from her five adult-children, Lilia converted her home into a board and care in 2004- Opalec Home Care. Shortly thereafter, in 2005 she opened a second facility, Opalec Board and Care. A smaller home, provides our residents a more private and intimate setting. Living in our home, you are treated with respect and dignity. The best advantage with a Board and Care, is the lower staff-to-resident ratio. Our homes are staffed 24 hours a day/7 days a week, with caring, compassionate, trained caregivers.
