HistoryCommunity SchoolHouse was founded in 2013 by Jeannie A. Gudith. Jeannie holds a master's degree in education and two certificates in counseling and leadership. Jeannie's specialty is in helping parents create customized learning programs that maximize each student's interests, abilities, and learning style while meeting long-term goals for graduation and college acceptance. In 2001, Jeannie started her own family and realized she wanted to teach them at home where she felt they would receive a more personalized education. Both of her children progressed at their own paces, and she realized how rewarding it was to watch them enjoy the whole process of learning. Jeannie was the co-founder of Las Virgenes Academy and River Oaks Academy. Jeannie then decided to leave the public school sector and has branched out into the private school sector which allows more freedom in teaching. Her passion is education and the ability to teach the way children learn.SpecialtiesWelcome to Community SchoolHouse. Our day school offers an alternative progressive education model with cutting edge curricula to provide our students an exceptional academic experience while integrating music, dance, and fine arts. Our programs provide cognitive development and cultivate interest in many electives. We offer full-time, part-time, distance learning, gifted & talented and after school options. We are currently located in a great neighborhood on a hill in beautiful Oak Park, California which houses our day school and some of our after school programs, including academic tutoring, test prep, robotics/engineering, woodworking, videography and more.
