Founded in 1977, the Climb Work Activity Center provides vocational, residential and community integration services to individuals with developmental disabilities. It serves adults between the ages of 18 and 64 with visual impairments and ambulatory disorders. The center s staff includes physicians, psychologists, behavior specialists, psychiatrists, Braille and mobility instructors, and speech and language therapists. The Climb Work Activity Center offers various adult day programs that focus on skill development in the areas of vocational training, money management, orientation, assistive technologies, and personal and social adjustment. It also offers several day training programs for adults with behavioral disorders. The Climb Work Activity Center maintains a facility in Sierra Madre, Calif., which serves more than 40 individuals with moderate disabilities.
