This is the office of the Claremont Institute, a nonprofit that advocates conservative politics with a religious flavor. Its goal is to promote government accountability, respect for private property, stable families and a strong national defense. Founded in 1979, the Claremont Institute publishes the "Claremont Review of Books," in which members voice policy concerns. The Institute supports the Publius and Lincoln fellowship programs for rising young conservative leaders. It also manages a variety of public policy programs, such as Americans for Victory Over Terrorism, the Ballistic Missile Defense Project, the Center for Constitutional Jurisprudence, the Center for Local Government and the Salvatori Center for the American Constitution.
