City College of San Francisco, established in 1935, is a two-year community college in San Francisco. The college has an annual enrollment of more than 100,000 students. It confers the degrees of associate in arts and in sciences. Its semiprofessional programs provide specialized college-level training in degree and certificate curriculum. The college s programs are designed to qualify students for entry employment in various fields, such as culinary arts and hospitality studies, ornamental horticulture, graphic communications, film production, broadcasting and child development. It provides academic counseling to assist students with education and career planning and course selection. Its study center provides one-to-one tutoring in math, English, chemistry, physics, accounting, economics, psychology and foreign languages. The college offers a variety of recreational and competitive sports, such as baseball, basketball, soccer, swimming and tennis. City College of San Francisco is approved by the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.
