Catholic Charities offers a variety of community-based services for poor and low-income group individuals. It offers several social services that strengthen families, protect and nurture children and support people in crisis. The organization provides therapeutic foster care assistance and serves children who have been removed from their families due to severe neglect, physical, sexual or emotional abuse, and exposure to drugs and alcohol. The organization offers programs for adults, refugees and immigrants, as well as for the prevention of various diseases that include HIV, AIDS and cancer. In addition, Catholic Charities provides clinical, emergency, employment, immigration, refugee, senior, pregnancy and adoption services, as well as operates the Tomorrow Project.
