Living in Massachusetts and coming for a month to Carlsbad, CA, I wanted books to read. I was able to go online, fill out the application and then get my library card once I went to customer service at the library. Everyone was helpful I feel they should have reviews for their service.

Great Opportunities

Great Opportunities' mission is to give underprivileged kids an opportunity to realize their potential and to understand they can achieve anything. The nonprofit organization participates in Earth Day Clean Up, Creek Clean Up and other environmental and aquatic activities, such as kayaking. Volunteers are welcome and interested persons can fill out a volunteer form on the website, which also displays photos from past activities, as well as an events calender.

Encinitas Rotary Club

Founded in 1939, the Encinitas Rotary Club is a service organization that fundraises for various causes, supports local school systems and participates in community service projects. Members of the club include past mayors and city council members, public and private education leaders and representatives from local commercial businesses. Some of the most well-known Rotary service activities include the annual Encinitas Rotary Cup Soccer Tournament and Encinitas Rotary Wine Festival. The Encinitas Rotary Club also contributes to Rotary International projects, such as the eradication of polio.
