Established in 1956, Camp Ramah provides a variety of recreational activities for campers, staff and program participants from throughout the United States and the world. It is accredited by the American Camping Association and affiliated with the National Ramah Commission. The camp manages a staff of more than 200 employees. It conducts summer and winter camps and offers swimming and lifeguard training classes. The camp provides several sports activities, such as basketball, soccer, tennis and volleyball. It also offers video production, photography and journalism classes. The camp provides a range of adventurous activities, including hiking and biking. Camp Ramah also serves children with special needs. The camp operates under the educational auspices of the Ziegler School of Rabbinic Studies at American Jewish University.
