Established in 1957, California Correctional Peace Officers Association offers various services, such as membership, finance, accounting and personnel services and also provides support to other departments in matters of budgeting and various interdepartmental issues, and is located in West Sacramento, Calif. The labor department branch of CCPOA offers collective bargaining process and an obligation to fairly represent the best interests of its membership in all matters relating to wages, hours and all other terms and conditions of employment. Its legislative department educates, coordinates and serves, as a liaison between the membership and the legislature. Its legal department protects the rights of California correctional peace officers to fulfill the representational obligation to its members. California Correctional Peace Officers Association s supervisory members are law enforcement professionals.
