HistoryBrian has been in the gallery and framing business all his life starting in the early 70's working for an artist preparing his work for art fairs. During the summer months Brian would attend the art fairs meeting collectors and selling art. After attending art school at the College of the Arts in Oakland and San Francisco 1980 - 84, Brian opened Studio Frameworks with his business partner in 1985, and is still open in Oakland CA. Quality and craftsmanship is always important to Brian. With that ideal he sold his share to his business partner and moved to Portland Oregon to open Brian Marki Fine Art and Framing on NE Broadway St in 1994, still in operation today, serving a wonderful community of collectors and artists with beautiful art and high quality framing services. In March of 2014 Brian Marki Fine Art & Framing opened in Palm Springs California as the perfect compliment to his Northwest venue.SpecialtiesBrian Marki Fine Art & Framing offers picture framing services with over 30 years of experience, featuring archival framing for paintings, prints and photographs. We offer moldings from Roma Moulding imported from Italy as well as high quality American and Asian molding in hundreds of styles and colors. Our matting material is 100% rag board and we offer museum glass to protect your art from harmful UV rays and has very little glare. In the gallery we feature paintings, sculpture and photographs from national and international artists painting in styles ranging from pure abstraction to realism, expressionism to impressionism to realism.
