The Boys & Girls Clubs of East County is a safe place for kids ages 6 to 18 to take part in recreation programs, cultural and physical education, leadership development, and personal adjustment and enrichment programs. It offers youth an alternative to the streets.
Annual memberships cost $40, with additional fees for sports leagues, classes, field trips, transportation and day camps. Sports leagues at the Santee Clubhouse include winter basketball and girls volleyball.
Drop-in hours are 2pm - 6pm, Monday through Friday, and activities include a game
room, homework club, arts and crafts, a computer lab and more.
The mission of the Boys & Girls Club is "to inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to realize their full potential as productive responsible caring citizens." More information on the Santee Clubhouse can be found here.
