Bourassa Vineyards is a boutique family winery that produces 3,500 cases a year. Owner Vic Bourassa's story started when he had lunch with world renowned winemaker Robert Mondavi and offered him a tasting of his homemade Pinot Noir. Mr. Mondavi encouraged Vic to enter the field. The first wine produced with the Bourassa label was Harmony3, a bordeaux blend. After the whole of 400 cases sold very quickly, Vic knew he was onto to something.
Harmony is made up Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Farc, and Merlot. Today the Harmony Bordeaux blend is still Bourassa Winery's signature wine.
The Bourassa tasting room is a very welcoming environment, with Vic Bourassa taking a hands-on approach. Barrel blendings are a great exploration into wine and a visceral way to experience the layers in the palette with each addition. Club membership assures first notification for special releases and exclusive invites to events. Vic invites members to partake in bottling new wine, and many show for a chance to get up close and personal with a successful brand.
