Bonita Vista High School is a four-year, coeducational, secondary school serving students from grades nine through 12. Founded in 1970, it has an enrollment of more than 2,500 students. The school s curriculum comprises biology, chemistry, economics, English, environmental systems, French, history, mathematics, physics, Spanish, theater arts and theory of knowledge. It has athletic teams for various sports, including volleyball, basketball, baseball, football and soccer. The school also publishes a newspaper called the Crusader and its yearbook is called Excalibur. It has been an International Baccalaureate World School since 1985 and offers the IB Diploma Program. The school s mascot is the Barons and its colors are navy blue and gold. Bonita Vista High School is a part of the Sweetwater Union High School District and is located in Chula Vista, Calif.
