Ralph D. Bollman Water Treatment Plant is a facility that provides drinking water to the residents of central and eastern Contra Costa County in California. Established in 1968, the plant uses ozone disinfection water treatment technology that reduces the formation of cancer causing compounds. It has a capacity of more than 70 million gallons on a daily basis. Ralph D. Bollman Water Treatment Plant is a part of the Contra Costa Water District, which serves several municipal, residential, commercial, industrial and public facilities. The district, also known as CCWD, maintains a staff of over 320 employees. Founded in 1936, it is one of the largest urban water districts in California.
