History

Black Gold Brewing Company was opened by Michael and Jaruwan Long in October 2010. Located in Taft, California our brewpub offers handcrafted beer made in small batches in our basement brewery. We are located 30 miles west of Bakersfield at the junction of highways 119 and 33, on the Petroleum Highway.

Appropriately named beers. Smoked tri tip brings Santa Maria to Taft. Friendly service and fun atmosphere. This is a must stop for a downtown that has a niche scene.

Me and my crew went out there for an evening motorcycle ride. The food was fantastic! I I had the Red Curry soup and it was spot on! Can't wait to go back in warmer weather!
