Black Belt Academy can be found in the same plaza as CVS Pharmacy and Albertsons, in between Fitness Together and Fantastic Sam's. Rather than focusing on fighting, martial arts is taught with an emphasis on character development, physical fitness and self defense. Whether teaching children or adult classes, the school's primary focus is respect, encouragement and support through the improvement of physical strength, competency in self defense, stamina, focus, concentration and self-confidence. A second Black Belt Academy location is located in Aliso Viejo.
