Center For Edu-The Infant Deaf
In a nicely secluded corner of Grayson Street just before it crosses the bustling San Pablo Avenue is the modest building for the Center for the Education of the Infant Deaf. The Center for the Education for the Infant Deaf is an early intervention program for babies who have a hearing impairment or severe language and speech delays. Applying what they have termed as a "total communication" approach which includes the simultaneous and consistent use of spoken English, hearing aids, and signing English at the Center for the Education of the Infant Deaf insures their policy for teaching to the child's strengths and making learning meaningful.
