History
I grew up in the Brentwood/Pacific Palisades area of L.A. where my father was a surgeon, as was my grandfather. At age fifteen I started on my healthy lifestyle in honor of my brother who was killed as an Army Medic in Viet Nam March, 1968. Being involved in competitive sports since winning 1st place AAU swimming at age 6, on to Judo, Short-Track Ice Speedskating( my passion), Cross-Country running(league,city champion,MVP) and then to Kenpo-Katate where I have devoted the past 40 years,( teaching since 1976). This lead me into Chinese Medicine as a continuation of my martial arts training. I have completed advanced clinical training at the Chinese Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Institute of Orthopedics and Traumatology in Beijing, China in 1997. I was formerly on staff at two local hospitals as the first, and only, Acupuncturist to be hired`into the Rural Health Care System in CA, and the nation. I specialize in treating Workers' Comp since 1998. I also treat Dept. of Veterans Affairs (VA) as a Community Care Provider. My competitive sports background and advanced clinical training give me a unique understanding on how to increase functional improvement, decrease pain and increase mobility. Needling Therapy (Acupuncture) is a complete medical system treating all known disorders, and can be very effective even when other treatments have failed.
