This fellowship now known as Calvary Chapel began in the 1960s in Costa Mesa. The Davis Chapel is now one of hundreds of Calvary fellowships found across California and the West. Pastor Tim Brock began his ministry in a meeting room in the Davis Public Library. Now the chapel meets in the Lutheran Ministry Center at 1821 Oak Avenue on the corner of Covell Boulevard. This small non-denominational church is oriented toward young people, especially high school and college students. The kids meet weekday nights for Bible study, non-digital games and informal social get-togethers.
