History
In 1970, a small group of volunteers in Berkeley came together with a simple goal: to serve meals to those who were hungry and had nowhere else to go. In the 45 years since, Berkeley Food & Housing Project (BFHP) has grown to become the City's leading provider of food, housing, and support services for those in need, empowering men and women to transform themselves from a state of homelessness and hunger to wellness, stability and independence.
