Dr. Hirshfeld completed a postdoc fellowship @ Stanford Counseling & Psychological Services (CAPS); conducted extensive research @ PTSD Research Program, SFVA/UCSF; was a consultant to the Brief Lacanian Analysis Project @ Mission Mental Health; served as Adjunct Clinical Faculty @ California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS) & as Faculty & VP @ Lacanian School of Psychoanalysis (LSP).

Welcome to my private practice of psychotherapy, psychoanalysis, brief analysis, & consultation. I am a licensed clinical psychologist in practice with children, adults, couples & families & a board member with nonprofit organizations supporting cancer survivors throughout the Bay Area. I acknowledge that suffering experienced in relation to anxiety, depression, relationship issues, developmental difficulties, marital distress, parenting, trauma, illness, medical conditions, physical pain experienced in relation to physical injuries, illness & other experiences can result in debilitating distress.
