Pomona Valley Audubon Society is a local chapter of the National Audubon Society based in Claremont and serving the Greater San Gabriel Valley. This local chapter educates members of the society, as well as the public at large, regarding the conservation of wildlife and its national habitats. The society also aids in purchasing and maintaining facilities for wildlife such as nature preserves. Wildlife research and preservation is financed by the society. As such, the society engages in education, investigative, literary, historical, philanthropic and charitable pursuits consistent with the mission statement of the National Audubon Society. This local chapter provides assistance for bird related questions, and supports Wild Wings of California, a non-profit rehabilitation center for sick and injured native birds located in the San Gabriel Valley community of San Dimas, Calif.
