History
After 20 plus years of construction experience, I trained with the American Institute of Inspections and became a Certified Master Home Inspector. I have taken 100's of continuing education classes and have begun teaching other home inspectors. This has been a great way to gain the knowledge to evaluate the conditions of your proposed purchase. In California, there are no licensing requirements to be a home inspector. It is up to you to choose a qualified person to insure the safety of your family and protect your investment. I am one of the few home inspectors that is also a California Licensed Building Contractor. I use this experience, as well as the additional training described above when providing your home inspection report.
Specialties
I am a Master Certified Home Inspector. The purpose of my home inspection business is to provide you with a complete and detailed report on all the visible conditions of your new home to give you confidence in your purchase decision. After thoroughly inspecting all the accessible areas, I typically review all the photos and discuss the conditions of the home with you on site. My written narrative report includes many of these photographs and an explanation of the condition and suggested course of action. My over 30 years of construction experience and being a California Licensed General Building Contractor gives me a great knowledge base to better evaluate the conditions of the home you are considering. I belong to two national Home Inspection Associations and keep up with the latest information through continuing education. I recommend you visit my website and take a look at the sample report I have posted there. It shows and explains a Home Inspection Report. Jeff Herboldshimer
